Eco developer Strange Loop Games released Update 14.2 on 8 October 2026. The studio calls it a minor update, but it brings some of the most requested tools for players who run shops and manage money in Eco's player-driven economy. Worlds from Update 14.1 can be migrated.
Economic Statistics
Bank account history is no longer limited to the last 50 transactions. Players can view every transaction, filter by currency, type or timeframe, and search descriptions. A summary shows the number of transactions, the average daily change in balance, taxes paid and where money came from or went, next to a graph of the balance over time.
Store owners get a new shop view across one or more of their stores, showing total sales, average transaction value, items sold, the biggest buyers and sellers, and which items bring in the most revenue and expenses.

A new market overview shows how many of an item were traded in a currency, what those trades were worth and the market share for buying and selling it. Data for the new views is only collected from Update 14.2 onward.

Better Stores and Named Taxes
- Sale offers can have up to ten tiers of bulk discounts, applied automatically based on the buyer's cart
- Stores can keep a minimum balance and refuse purchases that would take them below it
- Buy offers can work as a one-time quota instead of a stock target
- New offers start with no price and can't be traded until the owner sets one
- Taxes created by laws can be named, so citizens see what each tax costs them and settlements can track what it raises
The update also brings balance changes and many bug fixes. For example, pollution carried in a vehicle now only counts once the vehicle has been parked on the same claim for 10 minutes.
