Wube Software has released version 2.0.76 of Factorio as a stable update, focusing on resolving a wide array of bugs and introducing new scripting capabilities for modders. This patch addresses issues ranging from graphical glitches and sound problems to critical crashes and gameplay inconsistencies, particularly concerning the Space Age expansion and quality-of-life features.

The update's primary focus is on stability and polish. Several crash fixes target edge cases involving modded content and save file loading. One notable fix resolves a crash that could occur when loading a save where electric pole removal due to missing mods caused circuit wires to attempt rewiring between assemblers that were also slated for removal. Another crash related to agricultural towers and specific graphics definitions has been corrected.

Gameplay fixes are extensive. A recurring issue where cargo wagon door sounds would get stuck playing after a deconstruction order has been resolved in multiple scenarios. Problems with blueprint functionality have been addressed, including an issue where locomotive ghosts with fuel requests would not automatically switch to automatic mode upon fuel delivery, and another where creating blueprints from rolling stock ghosts failed to preserve their connections.

Space Age and space platform mechanics received specific attention. The patch fixes a bug where items with no defined rocket launch products could not be manually launched to orbit. Conversely, it also corrects an issue where items that did have launch products yielded none when the rocket was launched manually in modded Space Age scenarios. An ordering problem with ghost train construction and an issue where platform auto-construction requests could ask for one too many items have also been resolved.

Other miscellaneous fixes include stopping flying text spam when a multiplayer peer was obstructed from building an underground belt, correcting a bug where fast-replacing inserters with held items could cause those items to vanish, and preventing players from placing items into ghost rocket silos. A user interface bug in the cheat crafting GUI, which would scroll the view to the top when changing item quality, has been fixed.

On the scripting front, the update provides mod developers with new tools. Two new read-only properties have been added to LuaEntityPrototype: inserter_max_belt_stack_size and reversing_power_modifier. Additionally, the existing automated_ammo_count read property has been extended to also function for artillery wagons, offering greater flexibility and control for mod creators.

This release, version 2.0.76, continues Wube Software's post-2.0 support strategy, emphasizing refinement and support for the game's robust modding community. Players of Factorio can expect a more stable and consistent experience, particularly in complex modded or late-game Space Age scenarios.
